Our letter to NHS England about CCG public involvement
We have written to NHS England to assess to Clinical Commissioning Groups can involve local Healthwatch in changes to how health and care services are run.
In August 2014, we wrote to the Secretary of State using our statutory powers to highlight concerns raised by local Healthwatch. The concerns relate to reduced local accountability arrangements around commissioning.
We have also written to NHS England to request that they assess how Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) involve local Healthwatch and the public about service change and their compliance with the legislation and statutory guidance on public involvement.
